Our Conservation Block Parties are back for a second season! Join us Wednesday, September 30, from 5:30–7:00 PM for our North Hero gathering at the Camp Ingalls Butternut Hill Natural Area - 84 acres of wetlands, uplands, fields, and more than 1,100 feet of undeveloped Lake Champlain shoreline.

Join your friends and neighbors for a fun evening of good food and conversation. Then, if you’re up for it, stay will us for an immersive nature walk through Butternut Hill Natural Area with Karen Bates, Master Naturalist and Basin Planner for the Vermont Department of Environmental Conservation.

Along the way, we’ll learn about the unique habitats and wildlife we encounter, how nature adapts and to change, and what we can learn from those natural systems. We’ll also explore ways these lessons can help you better understand your own property and practices you can mimic to build resilience.
